It's the end of February and things are about to get busy. I'm involved in a whole bunch of concerts in the coming weeks and months, so here are all the details:
6:30pm on Friday 16th March is the first concert of Konzertprojekt's 2018 season.
'Swell' is an exciting collaboration between Konzertprojekt and the Organ Department at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Featuring three new works for organ, some old favourites and a whole slew of new pieces, 'Swell' is shaping up to be our most ambitious concert yet. Come along to this FREE concert in Verbrugghen Hall: from Handel to reimagined Bach to contemporary music, 'Swell' will be an eclectic and engaging night for our audience.
Sydney Youth Orchestras Autumn Showcase
On Sunday 18th March, I will be performing at Riverside Theatre with Sydney Youth Orchestras' Symphonic Wind Orchestra. Ticketing details to come.
On Saturday 21st April, I will be performing one of my compositions in support of Tertiary Ministry at our Universities. It's going to be a great night, with performances from a whole bunch of Con students and graduates at Burwood Uniting Church. Tickets: $15 adult, $10 concession.
Keep your eyes peeled in the coming months about this exciting concert on Friday 11th May at St Stephen's Uniting Church. ‘Fluteprojekt’ is - you guessed it - all about the flute. This concert will feature premieres of new works for flute by Konzertprojekt composers, as well as existing contemporary music for flute. ‘Fluteprojekt’ will seek to engage audiences with the versatility of the flute in new ways, including interactive and electroacoustic works. ‘Fluteprojekt’ promises to be a unique exploration of this beautiful instrument. This concert is supported by the Flute Society of NSW - Flute Grant.
